About Us: Digital Galleria Designs is an all digital photography studio that specializes in Children, Family, Business, Senior & Wedding photography.
We are located in Pella, Iowa and have recently built an all inclusive 3000 sq foot studio/lab.
We have six photographers, two committed to wedding photography.
We travel throughout Iowa for weddings, doing most in the Des Moines Area.
We thrive on creativity and new ideas and we have a unique, contemporary style. While we LOVE funky grunge landscapes and trendy ideas, we realize the importance of traditional portraits on your wedding day.
Your wedding day is a once in a lifetime event, so we want to make sure we capture your love traditionally too, so your portraits are still classic when trends wane (though we will do plenty of the fun stuff too!) WE LOVE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY!

1. Do our wedding portraits come in digital format? (on DVD)
Yes, all packages come with your portraits on a DVD for you to use on Facebook/email/screensavers/ect...(when posting online, please caption "photos by Digital Galleria Designs.com") If you would like to be able to print your portraits in a portrait lab other than ours, you can purchase a copyright release. (additional add-on package)
2. How long will you stay at our wedding?
Our basic wedding (4 hours) is the starting package. For some, this is plenty of time for pictures, others would like us to be there when bride is getting ready and stay well into the dance. All packages are adjustable to your needs.
3.Can we do outdoor portraits? When?
YES! Outdoor wedding portraits are fabulous! We usually try to get the "first meeting" outside if it is a nice day and its really up to you how much outdoor shooting we do. We recommend getting all of the traditional indoor portraits done first then go outside, but if you would rather do more outside we will focus on that.
Many couples are moving to less traditional wedding portraits, some even choosing to do very little if any inside traditional "front of church" pictures, but its completely up to each bride/groom.
A lot of couples prefer to stop somewhere in-between the wedding and reception. Everyone is more relaxed and we can get some really fun shots!
4. How does it work if my fiance and I don't want to see each other before the wedding?
We can do it either way, if you want to wait to see each other until coming down the aisle OR see each other beforehand for pictures. We will need to make sure if you are not seeing each other before the wedding, that enough time is scheduled for everything you would like immediately after the wedding.
We can sit down with you and help determine how much time is needed. We would also recommend doing everything before that we can...(girls/bride and her family, then guys and groom and his family) we just have to make sure to keep you apart until the wedding. This set up generally takes a little more time than the traditional way.
5. Do you have a back-up photographer?
Yes, Digital Galleria Designs has two wedding photographers so if one would not be able to make it (major emergency, like car accident, ect...) the other photographer could fill in. If the 2nd wedding photographer has another wedding, we have 2 additional photographers at the Studio who are also experienced in weddings. This would be a very unlikely situation,(hasn't happened so far!) but it's nice to know you would have coverage.
6. How many pictures do you take at a wedding?
We usually take 500-1200 pictures at a wedding depending on how much time we are hired for. Then we go through and crop/do special effects/delete duplicates and "ooops" shots...(closed eyes/ect...) You usually end up with 300-800 pictures to choose from.
7. Do you do engagement portraits?
Yes, engagement sessions are so fun! You can choose an indoor or outdoor engagement session, just ask us when you book your wedding when you would like to get them taken. Most couples get their engagement pictures taken 6 months-1 year before their wedding.
8. Do you require a deposit?
We require a $400 deposit to hold the date for your wedding. This will go towards your wedding package.
